Programmes offered in this department are National Diploma and Higher National Diploma. This programme can be studied full-time or part-time on campus. It also has a flexible study option which can be studied via our Online E-Learning portal, ideal for those in employment or with other commitments, providing flexible study options that fit around work or family.

Overview

Estate Management is concerned with the valuation, taxation, development and utilization of land and resources, buildings and other structures on land.The discipline is designed to prepare one for professional practice in land management, land use planning and land development, land reform, land settlement, real estate taxation and rating valuation, aspects of town and country planning, valuation, investment/development schemes and feasibility/viability appraisals.

Estate management covers a number of areas that include property management, surveying, business and finance and the built environment and essentially the subject is primarily concerned with the valuation and management of land and buildings in the public and private sector.

Programme duration

  • Full-time: 2 year
  • Part-time: 3 years

Admission Requirements

The requirements relevant to enroll for this programme.

  • Admission into National Diploma (ND) programmes must pass through the Universal Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) organized by JAMB. The cut off mark for the institution must have been made.
  • Candidates must have at least five credits in relevant SSCE/GCE 'O' level subjects.
  • Credits in Mathematics, English Language and any other three subjects from Economics, Biology, Chemistry, Geography or Technical Drawing.
  • Please note that all Higher National Diploma (HND) applicants must possess all the listed O' Level requirements, alongside SIWES Completion Letter and National Diploma Result.
